This is what I learned from a past project. Early in my time at Alconost, I assisted a client on a project.
The industry was aviation-related, and there was significant concern about the quality of the translation. Because it was an uncommon industry, they emphasized the importance of word choice.
However, we had contingency plans for the client's concerns.
1) In terms of quality, Alconost fundamentally provides translation services from native-speaking professional translators.
2) With our glossary feature, we store terms the client possesses or frequently uses to increase consistency.
3) Before starting the project, we clarify the client's desires through numerous questions.
As a result, we were able to address the client's needs and concerns. While working on the project, I learned that word choice varies from industry to industry and client to client. One of this client's requests was to translate \"video\" not as \"video\", but as \"imagery\" or \"scene\". While this was my first time seeing \"video\" translated this way, I understood that these words, too, convey the meaning of video.
I learned that even a single word can influence user reactions and perceptions. It made me realize how crucial this aspect is to business and how much attention should be paid even to the smallest details.
