Many media outlets feature content like this: "Master English in 3 months", "Conquer the CSAT in 6 weeks", "3-Month Diet Graduation". This content aims to fulfill the desire of those who want to solve the problems facing them in a short period of time.

This is often called a ‘crash course’. It refers to a lecture that summarizes only the essentials, providing problem-solving methods and necessary information like a private tutor.

Personally, I believe that there's no such thing as finishing something in a short period of time. I think the CSAT is an exception because there's a set date and a socially-defined age for taking it. However, in areas like English or dieting, where there's no end, claiming you can finish in a few months is illogical.

Even if you succeed in dieting in 3 months, you can't maintain that figure indefinitely. Those who succeed in dieting in a short period of time generally face a rebound effect if they don't maintain it. You have to continuously manage your diet and exercise.

Language is the same. Achieving your desired TOEIC or OPIC score isn't the end. Even native Korean speakers must continue studying Korean. We need to practice speaking Korean to improve our speaking skills. Languages regress if not continually used.

It's a very busy society. We always live with an obsession to solve things quickly. When you achieve one goal, another appears. And you must solve that quickly too. Then another task appears, and this cycle repeats. Or there's the desire to rest quickly, so one wants to finish quickly.

Doing things quickly is good. Accomplishing many things is good. But I hope you do it consistently. Even with speed, if there's no persistence, you have to return to speed. We learned the story of the tortoise and the hare as children. The one who perseveres wins.
