2024 was a year of significant changes. Although it was a challenging year, there were many moments of gratitude. I am grateful for the opportunity to join Alconost and for the positive reception I received starting my sales career in a new environment.

✅Reflections on my role as Alconost's Korea Sales Manager

2024 was a year of bold challenges. I joined a foreign company in the translation industry, an industry whose market size is shrinking due to AI, as the sole Korean employee to develop the Korean market. Despite my lack of sales and company experience, I saw this as a valuable opportunity at this stage in my career.

The challenges were meaningful. I tried various approaches, repeatedly testing and proving them. Of course, there were failures. But I learned from those failures and feedback, and achieved results. As I discussed in the recent Box-to-Box sales retrospective, from March to now (9 months), I've assisted 11 clients with 19 projects. I am truly grateful.

Although the company wasn't well-known in Korea, and despite the perceived decline of the translation industry, I was able to help many clients. I generated sales and was happy to contribute to my clients' localization efforts. Even small projects brought me joy. I was truly grateful and honored for the trust placed in me and our services.

Working remotely, I moved to a new house. My wife now has a much better commute, and we have a larger, more comfortable home. Despite the less-than-ideal infrastructure in the area, I'm grateful for what we do have. I also enjoy working from a more pleasant environment.

✅Reflections on myself, Lee Sanghoon

This year involved significant events: a new job and a move. To improve my sales skills, I participated in various sales gatherings and sought advice from senior sales professionals, gaining valuable insights.

Connecting with colleagues in other roles, as well as those in similar positions, provided positive energy.

Most notably, my LinkedIn connections and followers have increased dramatically in a year. However, I don't simply celebrate the higher numbers. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn from inspiring individuals and to connect with others by sharing my thoughts. While reading others' posts is easy, writing one's own and receiving empathetic responses and comments is not, yet I received many positive reactions. I apologize if my posts caused any inconvenience.

I've learned much from my church and missionary work, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to glorify God through service. It was certainly challenging and painful at times. Giving my time to serve is not easy. Despite this, I am grateful for the time given to me and for the sales contracts that have been made possible.

In 2025, I am striving to become a family man. We are expecting a new life, and we need prayers. I will continue to strive to be a more humble and better person. In 2025, we will launch marketing and sales initiatives for a full-scale assault on the Korean market. I will do my utmost to assist more clients with translation and localization for domestic and international market entry.
