Money isn't everything. Nor is fulfillment. The best job satisfaction comes from a combination of adequate compensation and meaningful fulfillment.
A few weeks ago, a client launched an app overseas. Seeing the news article made me really proud. I was grateful that we participated in the translation project and contributed to the new app launch.
Humans want to be recognized and want to help others. That's why there are people who volunteer without pay. There's an instinct to want the feeling of contributing to someone.
It's naturally great to earn a lot of money. But if it ends with just earning a lot of money, you may not be able to stay in that job for long. Once financial needs are met, you want to fill something else. That will be the fulfillment, pride, and contribution in our hearts.
Being on the front lines, meeting clients while doing sales, doubles the sense of fulfillment. This is because I prepare materials, explain things, and secure agreements for the clients.
Ultimately, if the client is happy, I'm happy.
