Due to working from home, I felt confined and depressed, but I found happiness through a walk and a gift of ice cream for my wife.
Sunlight and ice cream brightened my mood, and thinking of my wife brought me a sense of fulfillment.
I realized that small actions can accumulate to create happiness, and that we can create our own happiness.
I work from home. I feel so claustrophobic being stuck inside all the time. My office doesn't even get any sunlight. It makes me feel listless, lonely, and depressed.
I intentionally took some time out to go for a walk. Although the sun was scorching, getting some sunlight helps generate Vitamin D and improve my mood.
The heat made me crave ice cream. I felt it would be wasteful to buy only one, so I bought two, one for my wife and one for me. As I walked home with two 'Papparre' ice creams, they looked like a heart. I bought an extra ice cream out of love for my wife, and it coincidentally formed a heart shape.
Thinking about my wife's happy face when she enjoys the cool ice cream back home fills me with pride. I guess this is what happiness is all about. I hope you all create your own happiness today :)
