"He's a truly hard worker."

This is about my conversation with Jin Hur (허진), Team Leader at CERAGEM, whom I met at the Selfish Club Saturday event.

For almost 3 weeks, I've been attending various conferences, events, and seminars, weekdays and weekends alike. I've attended sales seminars to learn sales techniques, conferences to gain insights into specific industries, and events to network and promote my company.

It's because I lack so much. Although I have 5 years of experience in my career, my sales experience is very limited. I'm learning as I do sales, but there's still much I lack and need to learn.

My knowledge of the target industries is also very poor. I have a limited understanding of the industries we primarily handle, including games, IT, apps, and software. I don't fully understand the current situation, how business is conducted, or the future prospects. I need to learn a lot.

Nobody knows our company name. They don't show much interest in what we do, probably because we're a translation company. Our marketing efforts are also lacking, so I'm personally putting in the effort to promote the company.

As a result, I've experienced exhaustion, hardship, and emptiness. I felt like I was running around so hard, but my achievements weren't visible, and there seemed to be no reward. It's the epitome of 'burnout' (현타).

In this situation, a single remark from Team Leader Hur Jin gave me immense comfort. I met him, and when I greeted his successor, Young Shin (신영) Manager, he introduced me, saying, "He's a truly hard-working person." Tears welled up in my heart.

I face many challenges. But I'm truly trying my best. I'm writing every day to develop my personal brand and promote the company through social media marketing, promoting it through networking, and even taking care of inbound leads during my vacation, all to contribute to the business.

Still, I'll keep moving forward. Sometimes I'll walk. It might be chaotic, but I'll give it a shot.
