This is a story about a customer we were unfortunately unable to help.

An e-commerce company reached out as an inbound lead. They needed their website translated. Upon reviewing their website, it appeared they had used AI translation. The inquiry was for proofreading the translation.

It was evident, without being explicitly stated, that the Korean translation of their English website used '에 대하여' instead of the commonly used 'About' section for company introductions. In other words, the translation was implemented without any refinement, directly as it was translated. The other categories also used unusual Korean expressions, not typical for denoting categories.

Although I sent a reply, I couldn't engage in a meaningful conversation. It was truly unfortunate and disappointing.

Even seemingly minor issues, things that internal staff could fix with a little time, can accumulate and become a significant problem. In busy situations, they might get pushed down the priority list. This can become a branding concern.

It would have been great if we could have helped them, if we could have contributed to their sales growth and branding, even in a small way. It was regrettable that we couldn't. I hope they find a way to leverage internal resources to improve their branding, while potentially saving costs, and that we have the opportunity to assist them in this process.
