Gratitude Journal - Work from Home, Home Office Setup, Padding, Car Wash

Work from Home
I recently changed jobs. It's a company that is starting a new business in Korea. The company name is Alconost, and it provides services such as translation, localization, and video production. While foreign employees previously managed requests from Korean customers, I'm now taking on that role.

Thankfully, my work arrangement is fully remote. I don't need to go to the office. If working from home is difficult, the company provides support for working from a co-working space. Thanks to this, I can manage various tasks like household chores, package deliveries, and mail reception without any hassle.

I've had times where commuting took a significant amount of time and felt strenuous, but thankfully, this has alleviated that. However, I need to fight against laziness. I had experience with fully remote work during the COVID-19 pandemic, so I'll use that experience as a foundation for moving forward. In any case, I'm grateful to be able to join such a well-equipped company.

Work from Home Environment
Since I need to fully embrace working from home this time, I've made some adjustments to my work environment. My wife is a civil servant, and she receives welfare points every year. There's also a dedicated e-commerce site for civil servants. So, I purchased a large monitor from that site. It has a large screen, built-in speakers, and connects to my laptop without needing a separate charger. I'm grateful that my wife is a civil servant. Even though her salary isn't high, I'm thankful. I'm just grateful.

Furthermore, my wife's older brother had previously used a standing desk but wasn't using it anymore. Since constantly sitting while working is bad for the back, I decided to take the desk. I'm now happily using it to play games and work.

All of this wouldn't have happened if I hadn't met my current wife. I'm thankful for my wife who supports me so that I can work hard.

Padding (Padded Jacket)
My old padded jacket had worn out, so I bought a new one. I bought a product from a well-known brand. However, less than a week later, I noticed a minor defect in the product. Since it was recently purchased, I immediately sent it in for repair under warranty.

The weather is getting warmer now, and since I'm working from home, I won't have many occasions to wear a padded jacket. But I really wanted to wear this brand's jacket because it's a well-known brand and has a long length, and it was on sale at a great price, so I didn't want to miss the opportunity. Even though I haven't been able to wear it, I wanted to have it repaired to be in perfect condition. And I received the repaired jacket today. I'm grateful to have it back in perfect condition and able to wear it again.

Car Wash
I washed my car to welcome the coming spring. I don't know where I went last month, but my car got really dirty, and I desperately wanted to wash it. I get a car wash voucher every month, so I've been holding off a bit. I gave February's to my wife.

I'm grateful it didn't rain today, even though there was a chance of rain. And I'm grateful to see my car clean again. This wash feels much cleaner and tidier than the last one. I'm thankful to have a car wash voucher that allows me to wash my car clean at a low cost.
